The day before, October 27, the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Ukraine Davide La Cecilia to discuss issues of deepening trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Italy, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine said.
“We are interested in deepening mutually beneficial trade and economic relations and further developing industry and investment cooperation between our countries,” Petrashko said.
So, during the meeting, they talked about the prospects for cooperation in the field of trade, industry, agriculture, IT and innovation. In addition, the parties discussed interaction within the framework of the Ukrainian-Italian Council for Economic, Industrial and Financial Cooperation and supported the importance of holding the next meeting in December this year.
They also noted the importance of the process of finalizing the work on updating the intergovernmental Agreement on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments, which should broaden the prospects for the implementation of new investment projects, the development of cooperation, public-private partnerships and the like.
