The European Union can impose sanctions against Ukraine if the Parliament will not sign and ratified the MLI multilateral convention on eliminating double taxation.
This was stated by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Danylyuk at the Government Meeting on Wednesday.
«We must sign a multilateral convention on the implementation of measures related to taxation agreements until June 28. This decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers in December, 2017. I am still waiting for powers that will give me the opportunity to sign it. Why is this important until June 28? This is the last chance for Ukraine to join this agreement. It will still have to be ratified. If this will not happen, there will be a risk of imposing economic sanctions against Ukraine», – said Mr Danylyuk.
Minister called on the Government to give him the authority to sign the convention.
