The Ministry of Health plans to purchase Remdesivir drug, an effective medicine against coronavirus. This was announced by Minister of Health Maksym Stepaniv.
“The Ministry of Health is now engaged in the purchase of this drug and bring it to Ukraine, including through diplomatic channels,” Stepaniv said.
Remdesivir drug is included in the Ukrainian treatment protocol.
“This is an antiviral drug that is produced by one of the American companies. It was once used to treat the Ebola virus, but the results were not very good,” the report reads.
As of April 19, Ukraine has 5,449 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
