Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science, Liliya Hrynevych, said that she proposed to Microsoft to become a partner in developing the concept of digitization of Ukrainian schools.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science, about UAH 1 billion was allocated to the 2019 budget for digitization of schools in Ukraine.
According to her, for the qualitative use of this resource, as well as the logical planning of the process of expanding schools’ access to the Internet and modern technologies, will be created an explanation concept of the system’s architecture and the logic of its development.
“We are increasing the access to modern technologies for schools. This implies expanding access to the high-quality Internet for our schools, as well as purchasing equipment that children and teachers can work on. We alocated about UAH 1 billion for these purposes for 2019. We need technical expertise that will help to design the system most correctly. We appeal to you with a request to become one of the partners and provide us with this technical assistance,” Hrynevych noted.
According to the minister, the agency also plans to attract a wide range of consultants who understand equipment, Internet services and software, in order to develop the most thoughtful concept of digitalization of Ukrainian schools.
“So, experts from Google and the Committee on Digital Educational Technologies have already joined the work,” added Hrynevych.
The Ministry of Education and Science reminded that the ministry is considering the possibility of cooperation with Discovery, Britanica and MATIFIC to fill the national educational e-platform.
