Investigation considers three versions of a mortar explosion at the Rivne polygon as a result of which three servicemen were killed and nine were injured.
Yesterday, July 11th, the military prosecutor of the Rivne garrison Yurii Tabaka said after conducting the investigative experiment, writes Unian.
In addition to the two versions – there can be a human factor (double loading of the mortar) and the inadequate state of the mortar «Molot», after the experiment, the third reason can be inadequate technical condition of the mine, which was loaded into the mortar.
Tabaka said that during the experiment, one and two mines in the barrel channel of the mortar «Molot» were blasted. After the explosion all the fragments were collected, they will be sent for examination to compare with those collected on July 6th.
