At a meeting in Minsk of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the settlement situation in Donbas on November 12, all obstacles were removed for holding a meeting of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries.
This was reported by Darka Olifer, the spokeswoman for Ukraine’s representative in the TCG and former president Leonid Kuchma.
“At the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group, all obstacles to the meeting in the Normandy format at the highest level have been removed – the withdrawal of forces and hardware in the area of the village Zolote, Petrivske and Stanytsia Luhanska was the last step in this direction. Holding of a meeting of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries in the near future will accelerate the resolution of all pressing issues to resolve the conflict,” she said.
Recall that on October 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the meeting of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries (Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany) will take place after the withdrawal of forces at three disengagement areas in Donbas: near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske, and also after the cessation of shelling.
JFO HQ: Disengagement of troops in Petrivske completed.
