The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Iryna Gerashchenko, has said that today, October 16, the Presidential advisor Ruslan Demchenko start to represent Ukraine in Minsk at the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settling the situation in Donbas.
«Today a meeting of the Tripartite Contact Group as well as working groups is being held in Minsk. Ukraine is represented by a diplomat and presidential adviser, Ruslan Demchenko,» – Interfax-Ukraine quotes Gerashchenko as saying.
Gerashchenko also stressed that the official representative of Ukraine in the TCG will be appointed by the President of Ukraine.
«It is the president of Ukraine who must announce rep’s name. It will be a patriotic and professional person, who will adequately and properly represent the Ukraine’s position in Minsk talks,» – the Deputy added.
