For the next visit of the International Monetary Fund mission, the Government needs to resolve the issues of revising gas prices and balancing the State Budget.

The Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakov Smoliy said this, UNIAN reported.

«These issues are interrelated, therefore for the next visit of IMF mission, a revision of gas prices required and it is necessary to negotiate with the Ministry of Finance on the balance of the budget», – said Smoliy.

In addition, according to the head of the NBU, the decision taken by the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Minister of Finance Alexander Danilyuk from his post on the proposal of Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman will not affect the relationship between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund.

«The International Monetary Fund is an institution that works with the state, state institutions, and not with the specific officials. There are no risks in connection with the dismissal of the Minister of Finance», – Smoliy added.

According to the head of the National Bank, the acting finance minister of Ukraine Oksana Markarova will be a signatory of the memorandum with the IMF.

As «The Journalist» reported, new Minister of State for Finance hopes that Ukraine will receive the IMF tranche in the autumn.
