Alligators living in the American Swamp Park of Shallott River, North Carolina, were frozen in ice.
According to the publication The Charlotte Observer, a few days ago the ice was tied down along with reptiles living there.
“All our alligators are here in the ice,” says George Howard, park manager. – Eighteen Mississippi alligators thought about the future so they put their noses out”.
Employees of the national park believe that alligators have plunged into the so-called brumatsyu – a state of rest in reptiles, in which body temperature drops and the metabolic rate slows down.
