The adoption of the law on the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is an essential step in the fight against corruption. But it is important to accept immediately the bill «on the establishment of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court» submitted by President Petro Poroshenko and to restore the requirement that the court will adjudicate all cases under its jurisdiction.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde said this after her negotiations with the President of Ukraine, UNIAN reported.

Lagarde informed about the agreement with Poroshenko and in the future to work closely together, including with the government, toward the timely implementation notably related to gas prices and the budget – which is critical for the completion of the current revision of the IMF supported program.

In addition, the G7 Ambassadors (the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Italy, Germany and Japan) expect the formation and launching the work of the High Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine.

This is stated in the message of the Canadian Chair of the G7 Ambassadors’ Support Group of Ukraine on Twitter.

«G7 Ambassadors support the IMF’s positive assessment, as regards the progress achieved in relation to the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court and are eagerly awaiting implementation of the Law on Supreme Anti-Corruption Court», – the message said.

As «The Journalist» reported, the Supreme Council of Justice supported the bill on the establishment of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.
