Over the past day, March 3, Russian-lead militants resorted to powerful mortar shelling of the Ukrainian positions, firing about 100 shells. One Ukrainian soldier was injured, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported.
The Russian occupying forces violated the cease-fire regime nine times, 10 times using mortars of various calibers, firing about 100 shells at the Ukrainian army positions.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian fortified positions two times
- using 120-mm and 82-mm mortars in the area of the settlement Vodyane;
- using 82-mm mortars and heavy machine guns near the village of Hnutove.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever (“North”), the enemy open fire at JFO positions seven times: - using 120-mm mortars near settlements Novozvanivka, Novooleksandrivka and Khutir Vilniy;
- using 120-mm mortars and automatic machine-gun grenade launchers near the village of Novoluhanske;
- using 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, weapons mounted on infantry fighting vehicles and heavy machine guns near the town of Popasna;
- using 82-mm mortars and heavy machine guns in the area of Lobachevo;
- using automatic stun grenade launchers and small arms near the village of Krymske.
According to intelligence data, on March 3, two occupiers were killed and another one was wounded. Also, Ukrainian army shot down one enemy’s UAV Orlan-10 type.
As The Journalist reported, a man involved in military formations of the Russian Federation was detained in the Luhansk oblast.
