South Korean President Moon Jae-in could attend a possible summit between US and North Korea. This is reported by BBC.
According to the statement of South Korean authorities, the President of the country may join forthcoming meeting.
It is also noted that any attendance by Mr Moon would be dependent on the progress of pre-summit talks between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un.
Note that the first ever meeting between the leader of the North Korea and the incumbent American president is scheduled for June 12 in Singapore, where the discussions would focus on ways of denuclearising the Korean peninsula and reducing tensions.
The details of the meeting remain unclear
As «The Journalist» earlier reported, the leader of the North Korea Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in during two-hour-talks agreed to hold regular meetings to revive the dialogue and exchange of views. The next meeting will be held on June 1.
