NABU summoned on April 25 the associate of the president, deputy chairman of the Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc faction, Ihor Kononenko, for questioning in the case of a large-scale energy fraud.
This was reported by Radio Liberty, citing two independent sources in law enforcement agencies.
NABU does not confirm or deny this information.
Earlier, journalists of the ‘Scheme: Corruption in Detail’ program announced telephone recordings of conversations allegedly involving Kononenko and businessmen Grygoriy and Ihor Surkis and concerned scheme for withdrawing hundreds of millions of hryvnas from Oblenergo. At the request of the journalists, the recordings were verified by American experts working with the US government.
