More than 16 billion cubic meters of gas have already been pumped into underground gas storage facilities in Ukraine. To Naftogaz, it is still necessary to pump less than 4 billion cubic meters in order to avoid problems during the heating season. This was reported by the Naftogaz’s press service.
Now there are 16.17 billion cubic meters of natural gas in gas storages. Since the beginning of summer, the state-owned company has pumped an average of 74 million cubic meters of gas into storage every day. The company noted that 20 billion cubic meters of gas are needed for the heating season to pass successfully.
In total, Naftogaz issued USD 1 billion Eurobonds to purchase additional volumes of gas.
