Search in house of ex-head of Delta Bank did not lead to the expected result: taxman haven’t found what they were looking for

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine under the procedural direction of the Prosecutor General’s Office on August 8 searched the house of the former head of Delta Bank, Nikolai Laguna.

During the search process officials has found about 300 expensive arm watches (USD 20 thousand value each), Obozrevatel news agency reported. According to the information source, the tax authorities did not find the necessary valuable documentations.

In addition, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Andrii Lysenko, could not confirm this information.

«Investigators have not yet provide any information on the search results. Investigative actions are carried out. When the information will be available is not yet known for now. If to make statements before search will be carried out, the defense can take advantage of this,» – Lysenko said.

Let’s note that Nikolai Laguna is the largest debtor of the National Bank. According to information, he owns UAH 8 billion to Delta Bank.

Recall that in October 2, 2016 the National Bank stripped Delta Bank of its license and liquidated the financial institution.
