Police retrained the case of an attack on a public activist who died yesterday, an official of the Kherson city council Kateryna Gandziuk on the article of Criminal Code «Finished intentional murder».
«Today, November 4, investigators changed qualification of attack on a Kherson city council official, qualifying him as a completed crime. Currently, criminal proceedings on attack on Kateryna Gandziuk are being investigated as a completed crime – under paragraphs 4, 6, 11 and 12, Part 2, Art. 115 of Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder committed by a group of persons, for mercenary reasons, with particular cruelty, to order)», was informed in the press service of National Police of Ukraine.
Currently, law enforcement officers are examining the body of Kateryna Gandziuk and investigative actions on the fact of her death.
Earlier, an investigation into the production of an attack on a bureaucrat took place under Art. 15 (attempted crime), as well as p. 4 h. 2 c. 115 (murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The police recalled that in the framework of the investigation, five persons who were reasonably suspected of committing this crime were detained.
«The investigation into them is almost completed and in the near future the materials will be sent to court», it was informed.
We will remind, on July 31 in Kherson an unknown man splashed an unknown chemical substance in the face of the city council official Kateryna Gandziuk. The woman was sent to the intensive care unit of the regional hospital. It is worth noting that she exposed the organizers of pro-Russian rallies and law enforcement officers, who, in her opinion, cover them.
