People’s Front faction in the Verkhovna Rada calls on the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to announce Ukraine’s intention to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization at the NATO summit.
This was stated by the leader of the People’s Front parliamentary faction, Maksym Burbak, at the meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
«In addition to the law on national security, we still have to pass laws on the Security Service of Ukraine and law on intelligence and state secrets,» – the leader of the People’s Front said. – «We must go to NATO with concrete cases. The People’s Front faction calls on the president to announce such intentions of Ukraine at the NATO summit.»
As «The Journalist» reported, the People’s Front faction and Petro Poroshenko Bloc «Solidarity» blame each other for failing to vote for the renewal of the Central Election Commission.
