NASA may allocate another USD 1.6 bln to accelerate flights to the Moon

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) may receive additional USD 1.6 billion from the US budget for next year to develop programs for flights to the Moon, as well as to Mars. This was announced by Donald Trump on his Twitter account:

“Under my Administration, we are restoring NASA to greatness and we are going back to the Moon, then Mars. I am updating my budget to include an additional $1.6 billion so that we can return to Space in a big way!”

The designated program provides for landing on the Moon, a long stay of man on the satellite and around it, as well as determining the methods of delivering American astronauts to the surface of Mars.
