The population of China is already 1.395 billion people

Over the past year, the population of China has increased by 5.3 million people and amounted to 1.395 billion, reports 112.Ukraine.

Despite the population growth, Chinese authorities are afraid of the rapid aging of the population, which will create enormous pressure on the medical system and pension funds. After all, it is projected that by 2035, China will have 400 million elderly people, whereas now it is 240 million.
In addition, gender imbalances in China are still not overcome. One hundred girls and women here have 107 to 117 men (according to different sources).
Recall that in 2016 in the People’s Republic of China allowed all couples to have a second child (the prohibition "one family – one child" has been in effect since 1979, ed.). Already in 2017, the population of China increased by 7.37 million people.
