National Bank of Ukraine imposed UAH 6.85 million fine on Industrialbank

In June the National Bank of Ukraine has fined Industrialbank JSCB for UAH 6.85 million in June for implementation of risky activities in the field of financial monitoring.

The Industrialbank made UAH 906 million transactions to three bank customers’ accounts in other banks in the period from October 31, 2017 to June 14, 2018.

“These financial transactions can be associated, in particular, with the legalization of criminal incomes, the conversion (transfer) of non-cash funds into cash.”

The National Bank stressed that in the future these funds were further collected by encashment of banks and delivered [in cash] to the units of these customers, in particular, for issuing loans; although according to the official sources information, such separate units did not exist at the time of concluding contracts for collection services.

In addition, according to the regulator, the loans to individuals have not been either repaid, or serviced at the expense of these funds, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

It is also known that Industrialbank does not implement measures that allow to obtain comprehensive information about the above-mentioned clients and these financial transactions. In relation to the participants of the above operations there are some fictitious signs.
