National Council of Ukraine for Television and Radio Broadcasting postponed shutdown of analog television to June 30, 2020.
“On December 12, the National Council agreed draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on amending the plan for the use of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine, developed by the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine,” the National Council noted.
The period of transmission of the analog signal in Ukraine for certain categories of broadcasters will be extended until June 30, 2020.
Until this date, the analog signal will be used by broadcasters working on the territories bordering the Russian Federation – in the northern Ukraine, in Kherson Oblast, near demarcation line and temporarily occupied territories, as well as by local television and radio companies that still do not have a broadcast license in digital multiplexes.
