As reported on the website of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, this was stated by the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“We have taken another important step towards the NATO adaptation, due to the approval of a new comprehensive program policy in the field of space. The outer space is important for defense and deterrence”, Stoltenberg said.

In particular, it is about a possibility of better orientation and tracking of forces,  use of satellite communications and the detection of missile launch sites.

“Our new policy will guide our approach to (mastering) the outer space, taking into account opportunities and challenges. This is not about militarization of space, but the NATO can play an important role as a forum for exchanging information, strengthening interoperability, and ensuring our missions and operations to have the necessary support they need”, the Alliance said.

As The Journalist reported, the OSCE observers recorded car Sledkom RF on uncontrolled Donbas area.
