As part of NATO Trust Fund, a new project was launched to eliminate a radioactive waste repository in the Kirovograd region (“Tsibulevo” facility). Today, Ukraine and NATO have signed a contract for € 1.5 million. It is reported by the press center of State Agency of Ukraine for the management of exclusion zone.
The first stage of its implementation will be a survey, the preparation of materials for the development of technical solutions. Then it is planned to mobilize the facility, place equipment for waste disposal, develop containers, and resolve all technical issues on the extraction of radioactive materials.
After there will be produced the extraction of waste and their packaging in containers, as well as moving to GFS “Radon”, clarified in Ukrinform.
After the completion of work at the Tsibulevo site, work will begin at the Telyatin site, which is located in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
Previously, the “Journalist” reported that Tesla will pay a fine for violation of the law on hazardous waste disposal.
