The National Bank expects a slowdown in wage growth in Ukraine, forecasting an increase in nominal wages by 16% in 2019 and by 10% in 2020.

Among the determining factors of the predicted slowdown are the intensity decrease of labor migration, lower rates of increase in the minimum wage and wages in the public sector.

It is noted that a moderate growth rate of the minimum wage by 12%, to UAH 4170, were laid down in the medium-term budget in 2019, UNIAN reported.

Also, the National Bank recalled that the salary increased by 37% last year, and predicted that this year employers would increase nominal wages by 25% on average, or 13% in real terms.

As The Journalist reported, Supreme Court is against freezing judges’ salaries in Ukraine.
