As a result of a fire in the Cathedral of Notre Dame, they declare environmental consequences associated with an elevated lead content found in the ground near the cathedral. This is reported by CNN.
“Analysis of the samples made after the fire at Notre Dame shows that there is no risk associated with inhalation of lead from the air, but confirms the presence of lead dust in the immediate vicinity of the cathedral,” the police said in a statement.
According to the French group for the protection of the environment, a fire engulfed the sight of Paris, melted 300 tons of lead from the roof and bell tower.
The report notes that in an area that is still closed, the level of lead is 32–65 times the safe limit of 0.3 grams per 1 kg recommended by the French health authorities.
Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that the British estates donate wood for the roof of Notre Dame.
