Nearly 4.5 million COVID-19 cases have been confirmed worldwide during pandemic

The number of people infected with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the world totals 4,443,793.

This was reported by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University (USA).

The countries with the highest prevalence of coronavirus are the United States (1,417,889 cases), Russia (252,245 cases), the United Kingdom (234,440 cases), Spain (229,540 cases), Italy (223,096 cases), Brazil (203,165 cases), France (178,994 cases), Germany (174,478 cases) and Turkey (144,749 cases).

The U.S. now has 85,906 deaths, a further 33,693 deaths were recorded in the UK, in Italy – 31,368 deaths, in France – 27,428 deaths and in Spain – 27,321 deaths. China has 4,637 deaths in total.

At the same time, according to Worldometer, as of the morning of May 15, was diagnosed 4,527,127 COVID-19 cases, of which 303,413 died, and 1,705,815 people recovered.
