Nepal made its first successful launch of a research satellite into orbit and entered the space age, Xinhuanet informs.

“A research satellite, ‘NepaliSat-1’, was launched from NASA’s base in Virginia,” the report said.

The Prime Minister of Nepal Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli congratulated all the scientists and institutions that were involved in the process from very inception to its launch.

It is noted that the satellite was developed by two Nepalese scientists, and was assembled in Japan. A ground station is already being assembled at the Academy of Science and Technology of Nepal, which will receive signals from a new satellite.

As The Journalist reported, SpaceX lost Falcon Heavy core booster at Sea.
