The TV channel NewsOne canceled the “We Need to Talk” teleconference with the Russian channel. The channel management explained their decision by the fact of receiving direct threats of physical violence towards journalists and their families. In addition, protest actions were announced. “Our attempt to organize a platform for discussing non-political issues by ordinary people, who never questioned the territorial integrity of Ukraine, without politicians and odious propagandists, led to the fact that during recent times a massive information attack was launched against our television channel”, NewsOne stated.
Regarding what is happening as an information campaign against “their journalists,” NewsOne announced about discontinuing the preparations for the telethon.
