A fire broke out off the coast of Lamma Island (Hong Kong) and an explosion occurred on an oil tanker. Four people were injured, one died and two were missing. About this writes South China Morning Post.

It is reported that the incident occurred on January 8. According to police, as a result of an explosion on the tanker Aulac Fortune, part of the crew fell into the water.
It is noted that rescuers were able to get 23 people alive from the water. It was previously established that there were 25 people on board the ship.
One of the sailors who was sent to the hospital said that the incident occurred when he was resting.

"I was sleeping, I do not know what happened," said the victim.

In turn, the Vietnamese consul Nguyen Van Fong arrived at the Rattongji hospital to visit the wounded.
