NSDC to consider possibility of imposing sanctions for issuing Russian passports in Donbas

Ukraine is considering the possibility of imposing national sanctions to respond to the passports issuance to the residents of the occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Danyluk, answering the question whether Ukraine is ready for the implementation of national sanctions for Russian certification of Donbas, said “of course”.

“Of course. There must be specific measures to stop this process or become as complicated as possible. This is a violation of the Minsk agreements, planned provocation and we will certainly deal with it,” the statement said.

As The Journalist reported, EU extended economic sanctions against Russia until January 31, 2020.
