Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danyliv has said that the volume of the state defense order is planned to be increased by 16% compared to 2019.

At a briefing following the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, he noted that a decision had been made regarding the main indicators of the state defense order for 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The state defense order has been increased by 16% compared to last year, and the total amount to be spent in 2020 is more than one billion dollars,” the NSDC secretary said.

To Danyliv, all the details will be reported by the NSDC press service later today.

At the same time, when answering the question is it true that the new defense order does not provide for financing of new Ukrainian missile programs, the NSDC secretary replied: “I can say that this is not true. We clearly understand that our missile shield must be kept strong, and everything related to missile programs will be financed in line with all our regulatory legal acts adopted earlier.”
