In the village of Yablunets (Yemilchyne Raion, Zhytomyr Oblast) 21 hectares of wheat were burned on the field. About this informs the press service of the State Service for Emergency Situations.
Fire, which soon covered the wheat field, spread from the dry grass that burned on the side of the road. Windy weather contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
Firefighters eliminated fire, but the fire managed to destroy about 21 hectares of wheat in a field with a total area of 250 hectares.
Specialists work on the spot. The cause of the ignition is checked.
Earlier «Journalist» reported that 30 tons of raw materials for toilet paper were burnt near Ternopil.
