Olha Herasimiuk has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting. Valentyn Koval and Oleh Chernysh were appointed her deputies, according to the website of the National Council.
“Olha Herasimiuk was elected Chairman of the National Council. The first deputy chairman appointed Valentyn Koval, and the deputy chairman Oleh Chernysh,” the report reads.
Also, Yuriy Zinevych was elected executive secretary of the National Council.
The members of the National Council voted to terminate the powers of Herasimiuk as first deputy chairman of the National Council and Oleksandr Iliashenko as executive secretary.
In accordance with Article 9 and Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine “On the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting”, the chairman of the National Council, first deputy, deputy chairman and executive secretary are elected from among the members of the National Council by secret ballot.
