The UN informed that at least 800 million people around the world supported by their relatives who work in other countries. This is reported by the press service of the organization.
«In 2017, 200 million migrants sent $ 480 million to their loved ones, which are living in the developing countries», – the report said.
About half of the funds sent by labor migrants are received by residents of rural areas, where today 75% of the poorest inhabitants of the planet are concentrated.
Note that in general, there are about 250 million international migrants in the world.
