On June 19, the UN Refugee Agency reported that the number of people forced to flee their homes because of war or violence, is growing. This is said in the report of the organization.
Following the results of 2017, the number of people who flee from war, violence or harassment has been increased by 4.6 percent, compared to 2016, and reaches 69 million people.
In particular, it became known that approximately 70 percent of the world’s displaced are nationals of five countries: Afghanistan, Syria, South Sudan, Somalia and Burma.
Turkey, Pakistan, Lebanon and Iran are also among the countries with the largest number of refugees.
At the same time, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi believes that if there were solutions to conflicts to these countries, the crisis could start to come down.
