UN requires Russian authorities to immediately release Ukrainian filmmaker, who is being held in a strict regime colony in Russia. This is reported on website of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
According to the experts of the organization, Sentsov’s life is in «immediate danger». Authors of the statement noted that the verdict to the Ukrainian director «does not correspond to the norms of international law».
«We urge the Russian authorities to release him without delay, without preconditions», UN statement said.
Recall, Oleg Sentsov went on a hunger strike on May 14th, 2018.
