The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission cannot verify the withdrawal of forces at the Stanytsia Luhanska urban-type settlement.
This was stated by the Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces Operation, Major General Bohdan Bondar, Hromadske reports.
According to Bondar, “the OSCE SMM cannot verify and report to the parties that the disengagement of military forces and means at Stanytsia Luhanska took place to the full extend, as defined by the framework agreements.”
At the same time, the Ukrainian military have information that the militants have withdrawn from their positions.
“But there are certain warnings, as, for example, unassembled fortifications, which can be occupied and, accordingly, be used as firing points again,” the Major General explained.
It is noted that for its part, the Ukrainian military start to dismantle the fortifications.
