The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) re-elected the Georgian parliamentarian Georgi Tsereteli by a majority of votes.
It should be noted that the election of the chairman of the Assembly was held in the framework of the 28th session of the OSCE PA, coming to an end in Luxembourg.
Doris Barnett, a Bundestag deputy, was also running for this post, as TASS news agency reports.
The term of office of the OSCE PA chairman is one year, with the right to be re-elected for one further term.
