OSCE spots Russian tanks at former Luhansk airport

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has recorded seven tanks and six surface-to-air missile systems on the territory of the former Luhansk International Airport, OSCE reported.

“On April 7, the OSCE mission spotted seven tanks (T-72) and six surface-to-air missile systems (9K35) at the former Luhansk international airport about 10km south of Luhansk. In addition, mission spotted 7 self-propelled howitzers (2S1), 6 MLRS (BM-21) and 9 towing howitzers,” the report says.

The report notes that an SMM long-range UAV spotted two tanks (possible T-72) in the village of Zoria (40km north-west of Donetsk) and three surface-to-air missile systems (9K33 Osa) in the village of Kasianivka (81km south of Donetsk).

In addition, SMM spotted three self-propelled howitzers (2S3 Akatsiya, 152-mm) near the settlement of Tarasivka (43km north-west of Donetsk), seven tanks (T-64) at the railway station in Kostiantynivka and four surface-to-air missile systems (9K35) at the railway station in the village of Bakhmut.

The OSCE SMM also recorded one surface-to-air missile system (9K33 Osa) near the village of Pidhorodne (73 km north of Donetsk), six anti-tank guided missile systems (9P148 Konkurs, 135-mm) each mounted on an armored reconnaissance vehicle (BRDM variants) at the railway station in Kostiantynivka, and two tanks (T-64) south-west of the village of Krasne (65 km north of Donetsk).

As The Journalist reported, the OSCE Coordinator met with Ukrainian hostages in Donetsk.
