Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and the TCG, Ambassador Heidi Grau, said that the special status of Donbas and the implementation of the Steinmeier formula in Ukrainian law were discussed in Minsk.
To OSCE, Grau said this after another TCG and its working groups meeting in Minsk.
“Today, the TCG and its working groups convened for the first time this year. Our work was primarily focused on the implementation of the conclusions of the Normandy Summit in Paris,” Grau said.
According to her, “the main discussion topic of the security working subgroup was the identification of additional areas for the disengagement of forces and hardware.”
“The Humanitarian Working subgroup stock of the exchange of detainees of December 29. The Economic Working group discussed the issue of water supply in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (CADR and CALR). The Political Working group addressed issues related to the special status of CADR and CARL, as well as the implementation of the “Steinmeier formula” into Ukrainian law,” Grau said.
