EU countries for 2018 have significantly reduced carbon dioxide emissions as a product of the combustion of fossil fuels. Eurostat reported this on Wednesday, May 8.

It is noted that emissions have decreased in 20 countries, but especially Portugal (9%), Bulgaria (8.1%), Ireland (6.8%) and Germany (5.4%) succeeded in this. In turn, the average reduction in carbon dioxide was 2.5% compared with 2017.

At the same time, countries such as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Luxembourg, Slovakia and Finland increased emissions.
