The head of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Liliane Maury Pasquier, has said that Russia’s return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe did not mean that it has a carte blanche. This will allow working together with the Russian delegation on resolving critical issues, as the Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Ratification of Russia’s delegation credentials does not mean that we give it a carte blanche,” Pasquier said.
She explained that upon the return of the Russian delegation, it would be possible to work together on the issues such as flight MH17 crash in Donbas, Russia’s failure to fulfill PACE demands on the release of Ukrainian sailors captured in the Kerch Strait in November 2018, etc.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian delegation officially stopped work in PACE.
