The US House of Representatives passed a bill confirming support for the North Atlantic Alliance by the United States of America. About this reports CNN.

"It’s so disturbing — troubling to see the United States sending mixed signals about our commitment to the alliance, or treating it as a burden. You know what a burden would be? A burden would be for the United States to try and conduct foreign policy without allies, without 28 other countries that share our values and have fought alongside American troops, sharing the burden of lost blood and treasure at times,” said Engel.

The House of Representatives of the US Congress passed a bill in the text of which emphasizes that the American policy is to remain a member of NATO. 357 congressmen voted for the adoption of the draft law, 22 against.

"This bill … makes it clear that the US Congress still believes in the NATO mission and will prevent any short-sighted efforts to undermine NATO or unilaterally withdraw our country," said Steny Hoyer, majority leader in the House of Representatives, reports Reuters.

To become a law, the bill must pass both chambers of congress and be signed by the president.
