The Verkhovna Rada has adopted in general the law No.9153, which provides for the extension of the special status to certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. This decision was backed by 245 deputies, reports 112.Ukraine news agency.

The law on the special status of Donbas will take effect only after the aggressor country withdraws all illegal armed groups, militants, mercenaries and military equipment from the territory of Ukraine.
Recall that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on the extension of the special status of Donbas.
Note, that the Verkhovna Rada has extended for a year law on a special order of local self-government in certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO) in the fall of 2017, on condition that Russia withdraws her troops and equipment from certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
As The Journalist reported, the militants shelled Ukrainian army positions 21 times over the past day.
