Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) called on the Russian Federation to end the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula Crimea.

As stated on the website of the OSCE PA, today, July 11th, in Berlin, the 27th Annual Session of the Assembly adopted the Berlin Declaration and a number of resolutions that are included in this declaration.
In particular, the resolution «Continuing violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)» was adopted.

«The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly strongly condemns the illegal occupation by Russia of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine), and again calls on Russia to abolish the attempt of annexation», the resolution says.

Also, the OSCE PA «again calls on the Russian Federation to put an end to the aggression against Ukraine and fully fulfill its obligations arising from the UN Charter and commitments within the OSCE».

At the same time, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly called on Russia to release illegally detained or convicted Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in the occupied Crimea.
The OSCE calls on Russia «to immediately and unconditionally release Crimean activists and other Ukrainian citizens who were illegally detained or imprisoned on trumped-up charges by de facto authorities in the occupied Crimea».
The parliamentarians of the OSCE participating states urge the Russian Federation «to put an end to all forms of intimidation, harassment, discrimination and persecution of religious communities in the Crimea».

As the «Journalist» reported, OSCE adopted a resolution on the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria.
