Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy has invited American investors to co-manage the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
According to the website of the Ukrainian parliament, Parubiy said this at a meeting with US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry.
The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the energy security is one of the key issues for Ukraine.
«The parties discussed issues of cooperation in nuclear energy as well as issues of the liquefied gas supplying to Ukraine. Andriy Parubiy invited American investors to co-manage the Ukrainian gas transportation system,» the statement said.
Mr Perry noted that he welcomed the cooperation between United States and Ukraine on the issues of energy security, and stressed that the United States continues to be a consistent and reliable partner for Ukraine.
