Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Andriy Parubiy, says the law on the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language will be adopted on April 25.
This speaker said in an interview on ZIK.
Speaking about the “fundamental things of the existence of the Ukrainian state,” Parubiy listed, in particular, issues of the church, NATO, visa-free travel, repelling Russian aggression, and the language law “that we will adopt at the next plenary Thursday [April 25 – ed.].”
Recall that the Verkhovna Rada from February 28 has been considering in the second reading the draft law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language” (No. 5670-d). More than 2,000 amendments were submitted to the bill.
The Parliament will hold its next plenary April 23-26.
As The Journalist reported, Parubiy will sue the Opposition bloc because of the renaming of the UOC-MP.
