The current president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on the inauguration of the newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky. The corresponding decree under number 228 “On ensuring the holding of events related to the inauguration of the newly elected president of Ukraine” was published on the president’s website.

By a decree, Poroshenko instructed to form an organizing committee for holding inaugural events.

According to the decree, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has been instructed to invite foreign delegations to participate in the ceremony. Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine must take all necessary measures to ensure public order during the preparation and conduct of the inauguration.

Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, according to the text of the decree, is responsible for financial and logistical support for events and State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting – for covering the inauguration in the media.

Previously, the “Journalist” reported that the inauguration of Zelensky will be held on May 20.
