The General Prosecutor’s Office has created the Department of the procedural manual on criminal investigations of crimes committed in during the mass protests in 2013-2014.
The decree on establishing the Department was signed on October 21 by Prosecutor General Ruslan Riaboshapka. The Department consists of three divisions.
“The Department’s activities will focus on procedural manual on investigations of crimes committed during the Revolution of Dignity,” the department said.
At the same time the Office of the Organization and the Procedural Guide to Criminal Proceedings on Special Category Crimes, the structural part of the Department of Organization and Procedural Management of Pre-trial Investigation of Criminal Crimes under investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation, monitoring compliance with the laws of its operational units and maintaining public prosecution of the relevant proceedings of the Prosecutor General, has been liquidated.
As The Journalist reported, PGO will dismiss 218 prosecutors who refused to undergo certification.
