In Paris, while carrying out repair work, we found a painting of the XVIII century that was glued to the wall. About this reports The New York Times.
During the renovation of the new Parisian boutique Oscar De La Renta, workers discovered a picture of the XVIII century that was glued to the wall. According to preliminary information, the location of the picture is due to an attempt to preserve it during the war.
It is noted that the oil painting is 10 by 20 feet in size, depicting the marquis of the XVIII century and various courtiers who enter Jerusalem. According to historians, the picture was painted in 1674 by Arnoldo de Vuez. At the moment, experts are engaged in the restoration of the canvas. The opening of the boutique was postponed.
